We have closed Acorn Al Khor due to the parent of a child testing positive for Covid-19. Note this is a precautionary measure only, and there is no evidence as yet that any students have been put at risk. We re-open for students on Monday 5 October 2020.

We were notified two weeks ago that a parent of Acorn Al Khor has recently tested positive for Covid-19. We therefore took the difficult decision to close the nursery, with immediate effect, to ensure there is no risk of further transmission.
We take the safety and well-being of our nursery community very seriously, so decided to err on the side of caution.
All staff have spent the last two weeks in isolation, and have not attended the nursery during this time. They have all been re-tested in the last two days in preparation for re-opening, as per Ministry requirements. Regrettably, one of our staff has now tested positive for Covid-19.
Due to this recent development, we have been required by the Ministry to keep the nursery closed for an additional two weeks.
A deep clean of the nursery has been completed by a professional cleaning company, who has disinfected all the rooms, furniture and equipment.
Before re-opening, all staff will take another test and have to demonstrate they are Covid-free.
We look forward to welcoming students back to the Al Khor branch on Monday 5th October. We will contact parents direct if, for any reason, there is a delay.
We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause, but we have no choice. We must prioritise the well-being of all concerned, while adhering to national health regulations. Please keep an eye on your children over the coming days, and we hope that everyone stays well and healthy.
